Roll Form Fin Mills

Automotive and other heat exchange applications demand precision forming, high speeds, and flexible outputs. To meet these exacting requirements, roll forming of fin was developed—and Livernois Engineering was among the pioneers in advancing this technology for heat exchanger fin applications.

For Innovation to State-of-the-Art Technology

Our earliest Fin Mill designs featured headstands for the precise mounting of form roll tools, along with packing and cutoff methods. These early mills operated at speeds of 100 feet per minute and were primarily used for copper fin applications. Fast forward to today, and our state-of-the-art servo-driven mills now achieve speeds of up to 1,000 feet per minute, processing materials such as copper, aluminum, and stainless steel with unmatched precision and efficiency.

Tailored Solutions for Every Production Need

While we excel in high-speed, high-volume production, we recognize that not every application requires a high-speed fin mill. That’s why we offer a range of solutions to meet diverse production needs, including:

Each solution is engineered to address the unique requirements of our customers, ensuring optimal performance for every application.

Comprehensive Expertise in Fin Manufacture

Not every fin is best suited for roll forming—and not every fin should be. Depending on the specific application, stamping or folding methods may be more appropriate. At Livernois Engineering, along with our sister companies Tridan International and Innovative Automation, we bring decades of experience to deliver the ideal fin manufacturing method for every heat exchange application.
